Harwood Slipway
Location
Harwood Slipway is situated on the Clarence River approximately nine miles upstream from the river mouth township of Yamba & 2km off the Pacific Highway, the main arterial route between Sydney and Brisbane. The nearest town is Maclean (population 3250), just 10 minutes drive. To the South is the City of Grafton (population 18015), - 40 minutes drive, and to the north, Ballina is 1 hours drive. Airports are located at both Grafton and Ballina.
Slipway
Facilities
The site covers some 16 acres overall. Office space is available in the main workshop area if required by vessel owners, standby supervision, etc. Crew accommodation can be arranged on site if sufficient notice for such is given.
Water Depths
Water depth at our 45 metre mooring berth is 6m.
Main Slip Cradle
The main slip cradle is 63m. in length. Water depth over the cradle is 5m when at the end of the rails and the cradle is on a 1-15 declivity.
Main Slip Capacity
The slipway has a capacity for a 2000 ton barge or 2000 ton ship
